What ended up fixing your problem??
The Problem was my Impeller Ring in conjuction with a smaller Impeller... Small Impeller was bad move.
@@KcYukon small impeller in terms of pitch size or physically smaller?
@@mpaxton6686 physically to small I could get crazy top speed put of it but thats fun for a few pulls and then I wanted my low-end back... I actually sold it due to it being frustrating
@@KcYukon thats kind of the boat (no pun intended) im in right now, i had a chewed up stock impeller that had bad cavitation on low end so i threw a solas 16/20 in and it has great top end speed but the low end power isnt great. Having a hell of a time finding a good prop for this ultra. Oem kawasaki is discontinued and so is the skat trak that seems to be recommeded alot. Cant find a used one either. Any suggestion on a good impeller for low end power?
@@mpaxton6686 your gonna laugh but I think I still have one in my shop sitting on the shelf.... Do you want to add me on Facebook and we can chat more...

I loved my jetta but the tranny went out😢
I have not have a 95 Kawi zxi 900 ran great for a day and then the next day seems like it's stuck in some kind of limp mode or something. Any ideas that would be very helpful
Honestly there not very reliable I had to fight with mine until i finally said screw it and sold it... Let the guy know what he was getting into and he said fine and took them both.
Thanks for your time and caring enough to publish this helpful video!
My pleasure! and thanks for wathcing I appreciate it!
Did this fix your problem?
Mine is doing the same thing
Yes I'm trying to remeber now what did I do!
For the money you can’t beat it .. decent tires
Yep good tires but i found even better ones.. There called RADAR series, almost 80,000 kms they still look new. Small weather cracks but the tread is in great shape.
Doesn't The spring between the oil filter and case matter for oil volume ? And was it not found ? 😬
Yes I did find it and yes it's very important. It actually has to be in a certain way as well... It must have fallen out without me noticing it....
I got one for my 2024 ram 1500 works great!!
Yea long drives reminds me if I was a pilot this is how it would feel. Sit back monitor your gauges and watch the road and let it do driving! Cheers bud!
How many miles did the original engine make it? Any symptoms/sounds with this issue? My 98 has 1k miles. Makes a rattle by the fan at idle that goes away when you press hard on the shield, but yet to find the culprit...
hey sorry for delay ya his motor makes all kinds of noises like rattling at idle inside the motor almost.... I can't figure it out he still riding it so i told him just keep riding it...
What's the point! You have to be more alert than if you actually drive it yourself. People are just plain lazy
Actually it makes driving much easier you just monitor system and you can take over at anytime. That being said it's not for everyone, I do long hour drives and I find it shines mainly HWY use. City driving pretty much not needed.
Try that on busy downtown streets! Good luck! I hope I'm not on the road the same time you are. Dangerous toy!
Works best in traffic😂
It really shines on HWY which is where i spend most of my time trailering.... City driving I don't even use it.
I love mine. Throw some knobbies on it and it'll look even better. TKC80's I fitted great on road & fantastic off road... Best colour too. 👌🏼🖤🖤 #subbed
Right on! Thanks I love mine to I put some Mitas - E07 Enduro Trail Dakar tires on it!!! WOWOW what a difference (I highly recommend) I wish we could go riding sometime hehehe wish all MG riders where near me....
Good luck with that noise maker, i couldn't deal with the drone. Waste of money
its not to loud but it is aggressive sound that is for sure..... will see how it does in Mountains leave tomorrow!
loud! Wish I could run on trails where im sleddin....
Its got an aggressive tone to it now.... See how it does in the mountains!
yes trees do hide and jump right in front of you !
This one tossed me off the machine.....
Était il correct au idle et ses la transition pour monter en régime qu’il fesait ses backfire car après le mien se place ses vraiment juste sur la transition idle 1/4 de gaz qu’il le Fait et j’ai passé des heures a pu finir

I got another video uploading just talking about benefits of going big wheel 🛞🎡🛞
Feel your pain . Did the same to mine . Added a chain tensioner ( not self adjusting ) new sprockets, chain and chain case. Did the reverse detent ( lock ) repair as well. Did these repairs a couple years ago all good ar this point couple thousand km since .
Ya I'm looking at this belt drive system instead from BDX (Black Magic) My setup works fine now but I think I will switch to that later 11 lbs. weight savings but no Reverse!
ARCTIC CAT !?! I'm outta here ! Unsubed. Just kidding I'll stick it out. 😅
Haha 😆 I can't make up my mind!!!
I appreciate you showing this. I believe this should be the same set up as my recently acquired 08 Crossfire 5 with reverse (1600 mi). I was able to confirm with part numbers it is. I changed the fluid (Seemed to be original) that had a small amount of "dust glitter" in the DD oil is the best way I could explain it.. No shavings or large pieces. After more research I am seeing i need to actually remove the cover to inspect. I am planning to replace the bearings as well due to the small amount of glitter dust. Hoping everything looks good at inspection though because I'd rather do this in spring. Did you ever see any of this in any of your changes? Mind you I had to use a flashlight to see the shine from the "dust". Trying to be optimistic, I am hoping it's just normal wear. I was going to order all oem parts instead of using bdx. Is there a quality difference?
I know exactly what you mean... The glitter dust is normal I have seen it many times on the magnet 🧲 for the oil drain. The big question is how many miles on the sled 1600 miles? if so then change oil and good to go... 1600 miles it's still new... I would recheck at about 3500/4000 miles .... Or if you notice different noise pitch coming from the DD then I would look sooner. Yes BDX is better then stock so your safe there as well...
Appreciate you taking time to reply. Makes me feel better haha. Yeah only 1600 miles. So I drained and filled it. Then was nervous, so I removed the DD gears to inspect them and the bearings. They were all in great shape. I sprayed it out to clean it and filled it back up with new fluid again. So I will leave it alone for now. How many miles did you get out of your F6? Did you solve the turbo whining noise after bearing replacement?
So if u put that at egr and clean u think its not Damage after that u done
No damage it ran for years afterwards.
Brother your commentary on this repair was excellent! I appreciate how you went to the book and actually showed the part numbers for the specialty tools. That really helps out. I watch a lot of this type of information on UA-cam and you're the first one I've seen do this correctly. Thank you so much for taking the time to break this down for me cuz I don't have the time or money to order a book and you have truly saved the day. Thanks again from Texas!
Your welcome I always like helping out... Sadly I have found no time to really do this anymore but these videos will be out there forever so ya! Glad it helped you out!
thinking about doing this over the winter. do you have measurements or advise?
ahhh its tricky in the end it came down to my impeller being to small... So terrrible take off but once you got it ripping man did have topend... around 72 mph if I recall now... It was a dog out of the hole spinning and cavitattion way to much had to go easy on the throttle... If you got cavitation I would recommend Impeller and Impeller Ring to look at first...
Hole is supposed to be there.
Checked my oil on my 1996 XR400 I just bought. When it was cold it showed nothing on the dipstick. I added a quart and a half, ran it and when I checked again it was overfilled and smelled like gas. The overfilling makes sense now, but why did it smell like gas? It was also thin and discolored like gas was in it. Thanks
Gas would be not a good sign you might have a gas leak that slowly seeping into the crank case.. Maybe the Petcock is leaking. I would change your oil right away and see how bad is it?
Thanks.... your the only view about this concern... I've been havin the same problem..thanks again
Ya I know right there is no real instructions or anything on this unless you just run into it like i did.. Glad it Help Cheers!
All i can see is the floor

You didnt finish. You don’t show how loose or tight the pin is in the bushings once installed.
Search for Part 3 I have it there... Its Called "Arctic Cat project SLP Weights in a Cat Clutch # 0746 435 Part 3"
Thanks for the video. If you burn wood in your fireplace ,then the ash from this wood is an excellent healing supplement:ua-cam.com/video/NrfjSbpZs9A/v-deo.html
Well shown, thanks.
Thanks I try my best to make my pitfalls not be your pitfalls :) yesterday did 230 miles and no problems :)
Where did you get all of your new sprockets and chains? Just your local arctic cat? I had my chain case grenade on me can’t find parts anywhere.
Hey man, so in the video you put on 64s for 6000-8000 ft I believe and you said you were going to go a little lower to prevent it from over revving, but isn't lower weight going to induce over revving as it makes the clutch easier to spin. Guess I just wanted to know how it performed, I'm going to be riding in 7000-9000' in a few weeks and the owners manual says 66 oz weights for that elevation. Regardless, My Dad and I are going on a trip together in a few weeks, I don't live at home anymore but my sled still does. Do you think this project is something my 60 some year old father could tackle with some average tools and pretty decent mechanical knowledge. He's pretty comfortable with sleds and likes wrenchin on em so I guess I was just wondering how hard it was for you.
Its easy you take your cover off remember there is a spring in there so it will kick back a bit... if this is arctic cat the weights will have a set screw you have to sometimes use heat to get that set screw out. then you take bolt out pull weight out put new weights in and put set screw back in I would use red loctite when set screw is put back in to be safe..... so 8 bolts for cover I think it is and then once that is done you pull sheaves apart so you can get at the weights... The heavy there weight the harder the engine works it takes more power to push a heavy weight ... the lighter the weight the easier the engine revs up becuase its spinning something that has less resistance.... Excuse my grammer I have to go out and get some beer! long day :)
i have a 2020 sks and end of last season mine did same thing! 3000kms
Crappy my 2nd Track now has lost at lest 6 lugs I can't win!@!!! argggg. I think its to due with non ratchet sprocket in the middle of the track i think that is the real problem.. I might have to change drivers and go to another track in maybe 5 years or so but ya machine rocks otherwise cheers
@@KcYukon I removed my centre drive sprocket and am runnin a 1.6” ice cobra now! we’ll see how that holds up! cheers
@@prez-dd4ed cool I would really like to hear the results I can't keep just buying new tracks all the time that gets hard on the wallet
@@KcYukon yes it sure is😂 ill check back once i have some more miles on it!
@@prez-dd4ed awesome I appreciate it X2 backcountry I was hoping it would be the real deal... but after 2nd year and 2500 miles it is showing some ripped paddles... I blame one rip as my fault as I ripped it hard off some sharp rocks 🪨 but man the other ones ripped really suck..
same sled, I'm at 6,000 miles and compression is 115 and 125. Wonder if I need to be concerned.
how does it run power loss?? Im a little concerned that is more of a swing then you want :( like 120 and 125 is the most I would go... and remember that cylinder is one whole piece so if the block goes its expensive... can't just replace one JUG which kinda pisses me off Polaris did that... You don't want to replace the whole block man... if you dont have to...
@@KcYukon she runs really strong. Just pulled 113mph on a lake last weekend and I think it had more. I got a different compression tester as mine was like 30 years old and I got 120 and 125, so that made me feel a little better.
@@happyshoe1 ya if your pulling that not bad at all is it an SKS? Most I have ever seen is 104 mph
@@KcYukon 2020 Indy 850
What year is that sled?
2006
I have an 05 F7 & the side cover has some kind of fasteners that don't seem too easy to remove without breaking the plastic.
They are a pain on the F7...
Can I adjust with the car off
NO no no you risk the chance of overtightening... you have to listen to the tick as its running! Good luck
The seals on tailcone bearing are shot!! Why rebuild whole pump then leave that in just because you dont know how to remove it?? This causes huge problems for those trying to do it properly. You cant leave a bearing in a pump with bad seal! especially when its in a jet pump!!Thats why in ultra 150 pump rebuild kit they give you both bearings ,main and tailcone.Good luck you may get away with it for a short while! When you get to end youre explaing how impeller seals. Boy youre going to cost many guys lots of money leaving spacer that seals impeller shaft to seals. You need to use grease on and between seals or they will fry as soon as you start engine. I'm glad I watched this.ps. When in doubt look at parts breakdown and know what parts go where and why, best of luck to you have a Blessed Day!!
all this does is give you an idea of what your looking at... If its a project you can't take on then take it to a dealer and get a professional to do it!!! I do videos for the back yard guy who still wants to learn themselves by no means am I professional... I take things apart and put em back together... I learned to rip small engines apart as a kid and put them together and they always ran... I have countless videos of people thanking for my insight on videos... Sadly I just don't have time for this hobby anymore. Covid also put me in a slump the last few years and this was not priority for me anymore. Take care wish you the best!
How do you remove the tailcone bearing?
Have been going dealing with the same issue - going to buy a harness next week - was she fairly easy to replace?
Harness fixed the issue I still drive this sled for Ice Fishing! over 12,000 miles on this sled and harness was good decision!!! The bad news its a pain in the a$$ to change I remember being frustrated but I got through it with many beers and therapy on the couch over a hockey game... :) cheers
Soo just through parts at it till they work?? Lol better of watching s video of somebody knowledgeable on diagnosis
I do this as a hobby if you don't like it I can just ban you from the channel if you prefer... then you never have to watch again!!!
Mine sounded like that even after I replaced the bearing with a dual roller did you figure out what bearing it was
Ya I have F800 and it also has its own DD sounds... I plan to change oil next week and take a look at mine well its opened up... I know the main big bearings never really go... its so small ones that are pressed onto the cover ususally that can be a problem child... good luck
Did you have any issues getting it back in after bending that hook?
its a bit on the tight side but back and forth and wiggle wiggle and then it goes in.... not easy thats for sure...
what is the approx price?
I paid $900 to 1100 USD I can't remember now to be honest... It has been amazing cover one of the best purchases i have done for my trailer!!! After how many years of owning it the only thing that has gone is the zippers on the back of the trailer... the straps wore out as well but I put new straps on and good to go... I highly recommend this if the money is tight! Cheers
I was doing this test now I need to know what the cog wheel that holds the cables position. Do I open valves all the way with manually turning the cog? It passed the ohm and 12v test. Cables are adjusted.
How did you make out?
@@KcYukon last friggin guy took the cover off the servo motor and turned it. It can be put back on 3 ways. 2 of which will make the servo rotate backwards. Weeks of trying to figure it out.
@@jaybourbon8608 ohhh ya I remember that so it was rotating so that powervalves didn't even open at all... good eye!
@@KcYukon Correction. The cog was turning backwards and pulling the cables the wrong way. The stupid ass servo has 2 sides the cables can go on for some ridiculous reason so they had the cables on the wrong side too. Was a nightmare experience especially not knowing they the cables initially went on the left side.
@@jaybourbon8608 Well I'm glad you got it fixed... I eventually ended up selling my old Cat, was a great machine. I went to Polaris I know right like swear words man.... Good luck with your sled! My 700 suzuki was solid machine!
"Who wants to work on this 87 SUburban?" I realized how easy it was to work on these engines when they all wanted to work on it, and nobody wanted to work on the new Nissan Rogue
Today's vehicles you have no choice but to take it to a mechanic :( :( :( gone are the days of back yard wrenchers!!! unless you got an oldie :)
Thanks man! I blew my belt last ride of season. I got the beep to. Same problem same fix. 2007 Arctic cat Jag Z1
Awesome glad it worked Cheers Bud!
need some help here if anyone can: planning on buying this same vehicle, specs : 1 owner older guy driven, 6 CYL diesel, 189000 km / 117000 miles. the guy is asking 8500 Canadian or 6200 USD. I asked my mechanic he said don't buy it, too expensive to maintain , he saying get a dodge compact truck. any thoughts ?
I personally drove our 2008 Jeep Diesel to over 400,000 kms and then I sold it for good money. It was still running strong when I sold it just like knew... I think with low kms that engine I was told will go over a million... I was told Mercedes developed that V6 diesel in the 80's and kept perfecting that motor over and over... Mine was awesome all i can say... Electrical worked, nothing was not working at 400,000 kms A/C was strong... Transmission still strong... I did do the delete and other then regular maintence it was fine... So like oil change, tires, I did have powersteering hose blow 2 times but that was easy fix. Ya I loved it, I went to Ram EcoDiesel and I love that truck even more better for work and play. BUT FREAKIN EXPENSIVE TO BUY :(
